Please note that this event will take place in French.
On May 16 and 17, 2024, the Research Chair in Parliamentary Studies at the University of Luxembourg is holding its Parliamentary Spring School, with the main themes: Parliaments and economic governance (May 16), and Parliaments and multi-level European governance of integration policy: challenges and opportunities (May 17).
These two days aim to shed light on the paradoxical situation of parliaments in these two fields of public action, namely their relative remoteness from the programming process of these policies, despite the fact that they lie at the heart of the civil pact.
Both days will be held exclusively online. Presentations and debates will be in French or English.
Our Managing Partner Alain Steichen will be among the speakers on May 16, on the topic "Le Conseil national des finances publiques au Luxembourg - un organisme consultatif parmi d'autres?" at the round table "La collaboration des institutions parlementaires avec les organismes budgétaires indépendants".
