Tainted arbitration: Better know where you stand (as a lawyer)!

Perspectives from France, England & Luxembourg

In the context of Paris Arbitration Week, we are delighted to invite you to our event on Tuesday 19th March 2024 at 3:00pm, “Tainted arbitration: Better know where you stand (as a lawyer)! Perspectives from France, England & Luxembourg.”

This event aims to shed light on the complex issues surrounding tainted evidence, proceedings and the enforcement of allegedly tainted awards. We will discuss the recent decision in France by which the French Cour de cassation admitted evidence obtained by unfair means, as well as the consequences of fraud in arbitration proceedings. These issues are usually discussed through the prism of the award’s compatibility with public policy (procedural or substantive). Our panel, composed of lawyers from the UK, France and Luxembourg, with an English investigator, will focus on the consequences for our practice as lawyers from a comparative perspective

This event will be a hybrid format, held at Alerion Avocats, 137 rue de l'Université, 75007 Paris.

For those joining in person, the discussion will be followed by a networking reception.

For those joining remotely, please note that the event will start at 3.15pm. Connection details to follow.
