It's been 5 years since the last social elections! You now have just under one month to prepare for the next elections.
On March 12, 2024, all Luxembourg companies, regardless of the nature of their activities, employing at least 15 employees over a 12-month period will have to organize social elections for the appointment of staff delegates.
What's new compared to the last elections in 2019? Do you have to organize a ballot? At what level must your staff delegation be set up? How many delegates must be elected? Is the voting system majority or proportional? How do you determine your active and passive electorate? Do you have to organize a postal vote? Where and when should candidacies be posted, especially when you have satellite offices in border countries? Where should the polling station(s) be located? How are seats allocated? What to do if the elections are contested? How do you conduct discussions with any unions?
To answer all these questions and help you prepare for the elections with peace of mind, our specialists Anne Morel, Harmonie Méraud, Pauline Wirtzler and Alexandra Simon would be delighted to assist you at every stage of the election process. If you have any questions, please contact us at electionssociales@bsp.lu.
